COMPOST COLLECTION SERVICE

I was able to demonstrate to both borough council members and management that we had the capacity to implement
a door to door kitchen waste collection service
like the one already in practice in Rosemont-La Petite Patrie.

In 2017, in collaboration with local experts, I helped set up the first route for our borough’s kitchen waste collection service to buildings with 9 or more units, beginning with the Griffintown sector.

Consequently in 2014, a trial project was implemented in the Saint Paul-Émard district in which every building of 8 units or less was served. In the following year, Montreal city council made the decision to implement a city wide compost collection service for buildings with 8 units or less, based on the success of the Rosemont-la-Petite-Patrie model and the Émard trial.
