Therefore the regulations on demolitions were modified (my colleague Anne-Marie Sigouin worked to increase the protection of our older buildings with this same regulation).

I worked to repeal the by-law allowing split conversions so that the borough no longer collaborates in this important phenomenon of transformation of rental units into condominiums. |

As my colleagues in the boroughs of Plateau-Mont Royal and Rosemont-la-Petite-Patrie had done, I proposed that the Southwest borough offer financial support for the implementation of a public register of all Montreal leases: |

Noting the positive results of the local strategy for the inclusion of affordable housing in 2012, I proposed increasing the requirements towards the inclusion of social and community housing in any private development project that deviated from the existing zoning regulations. |

This measure was implemented following the successful experiences in the boroughs
of the Plateau-Mont-Royal and Rosemont-la-Petite-Patrie. |

In collaboration with the City of Montreal, I am currently working on a program to create
a land reserve for social and community housing. |
